For Dogs and Cats
Affordable Behavior Therapy
Our pets are family, but let’s face it, as the economy becomes more expensive, pet training and behavior therapy are viewed as a luxury service – not everyone can afford to get the care they want for their pets. We want to help!
As much as we would love for you to book our in-person services, we know that may not be accessible or affordable for everyone! So we are providing more affordable virtual coaching to guide you through pet training and behavior therapy.
Since COVID, pet trainers have found that there are so many benefits to working virtually that, in many cases, it can be more effective than in-person sessions. We can cover more information in less time while still providing you with access to all our knowledge. It removes our travel time and expenses, allowing us to reduce costs and offer better availability to you. Pets also often learn better without the distraction or stress of our presence, allowing you to make steady progress!
We are reducing costs for you, but we are not reducing our expertise or quality of care!
Wait...Does Virtual Training Actually Work?
Yes, it does! And often, it can be even MORE effective than in person training! We coach you on the skills needed to strengthen your pet’s bond with you, while creating change in your pet’s behavior that lasts.
Initially, we meet via Zoom to take history and learn about the behavior concerns that you have. From there, we create an individualized behavior therapy plan which includes management, enrichment, and building skills. From there, we meet regularly to discuss how the behavior therapy is progressing, make adjustments as needed, and teach you the skills to work through training. The most important work happens in between sessions, when you are working with your pet, and we’re here to help coach you along the way.
But Don't You Need to See My Dog's Behavior?
Not necessarily! While we’re happy to review videos and provide feedback, our goal is to help teach you the skills to work through your pet’s behavior concerns without putting them in a situation where they are not set up for success.
Benefits of Virtual Coaching
- You learn how to support your dog’s successful learning
- Your dog can have relaxing breaks between mini training sessions
- You can receive live feedback without us distracting your dog
Virtual training means location doesn’t matter! We’re able to serve a larger community, which allows us to help more pets and their parents. In areas of our country, or even across the globe, that don’t have local access to pet trainers or behavior professionals, virtual training is the only option. For others, there may not be local access to specific services that are needed, such as professionals who specialize in separation anxiety, noseworks, or veterinary collaboration.
Whether you need help with puppy socialization, behavior services, or any other training needs, virtual provides you with more options. Ask us about the variety of services we can help you with!
Virtual training gives you and your dog an option to learn without the distraction of a new person in your home. This is a huge win for nervous dogs, dogs who may hide or lash out, or dogs who are overly excited and struggle to calm down. The most significant benefit for you is that even if your dog doesn’t struggle with new people in the home, we are teaching you how to have your dog rely on YOU! We want to help you learn the skills together and achieve a team approach to your goals. You and your dog will benefit more if you are doing the training while we do the coaching!
Virtual training means less travel for us and more flexibility for you! It’s easier to schedule around everyone’s busy lives when travel is taken out of the equation. We want to help you when you are available, and virtual makes it easier for us to schedule with you and other clients from different places. It also means we have more time to help you between sessions so that you stay on track with progress!
